How to delete RunningOptimizer from your Internet browser
Uninstall RunningOptimizer from Internet Explorer
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Access the menu (the gear icon top-right corner), and press Manage Add-ons.
- Click Remove on RunningOptimizer and all extensions you aren’t familiar with.

- If your computer is running Windows Vista/7, press the windows logo, type in inetcpl.cpl in the search box and click Enter. Proceed to the Advanced tab and press Reset.
- If you are using Windows 8/10, launch Internet Explorer, press on the gear icon, choose Internet Options, proceed to the Advanced tab and click on Reset. Click Reset again.
Remove RunningOptimizer from Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome.
- Open the menu by clicking the three dots at the top-right corner, then More tools and Extensions.
- Find all extensions you can’t identify, as well as RunningOptimizer, and delete them.
- Click the three dots top-right and select Settings.
- In the On startup section, set your preferred homepage instead of the one set by RunningOptimizer.

RunningOptimizer removal from Mozilla Firefox
- Launch Mozilla Firefox.
- Menu (the three top right corner bars) – Add-ons.
- Open Extensions, locate and delete RunningOptimizer, and any other unfamiliar extension.
- Menu (the three bars) – Preferences.
- You will need to change your homepage in the Home tab.
- Open the Search tab from the menu tab on the left, remove the search engine RunningOptimizer set for you and set it to something you prefer.
If RunningOptimizer is still present, you will need to restore your browser’s settings to default.
- When Mozilla Firefox is open, click on the menu (the three bars), Help – Troubleshoot information.
- Press Refresh Firefox.
- Confirm your choice by pressing Refresh Firefox again.
Remove RunningOptimizer from Safari
- Launch Safari.
- Safari (from the menu bar at the top) – Preferences.
- Open the Extensions tab, identify all extensions you can’t identify, as well as RunningOptimizer, and delete them.

- Menu (the three dots) – Settings.
- You will have to change your homepage in On Startup.
- Open the Privacy and services tab, change your search engine from the one set by RunningOptimizer to something else.
In case you are still struggling with RunningOptimizer, your browser’s settings may have to be reset to default.
- Open Microsoft Edge, open menu (the three dots), select Settings, open the Reset settings tab.
- Select Restore settings to their default values. Reset.
